ROSE MARIE GUIRAUD: THE LEGACY Rose Marie Guiraud and Les Guirivoires Dance Company from Cote d’Ivoire ,West Africa and is one of most well known professional dance companies and Cote d’Ivoire’s first National Ballet company. Rose Marie Guiraud is the pioneer choreographer of Cote d’Ivoire, founder/director of the Guirivoires Dance Company , creator of the Foundation GMR/EDEC (Ecole de Dance et d’Echange Culturel) in Abidjan, the commercial Capital of Cote d’Ivoire. As a humanitarian, Ms Guiraud’sr purpose in making this CD is to raise money for those children & young adult who have been helping themselves by performing everywhere even during the war in Cote d’Ivoire. The Foundation GuiraudMR/EDEC will gratefully welcome any sponsoring, donations or invitations to perform. The music and songs that you will hear on this CD are the original music and songs of Ms Guiraud’s choreography for her company Les Guirivoires . Recorded in Abidjan, C.I. Enjoy the music! All music was recorded under the Supervision of Ms Guiraud and Emmett O McDonald, music director of Les Guirivoired Dance Company.
